1999-2000
The School's first Sports Day was held at the Guyana Softball Cricket Ground on Friday 28th May 1999. Despite the inclement rainy season, the events continued as planned with much success.
Four houses participated in approximately fifty-seven events that included Track and Field activities. The following are the names of the Houses and their ranks after the sporting activities:

| Our Lady of Fatima | 4th Place |
Emerging from these events as Champion Athletes were Analisa (Our Lady of Guadeloupe) and Kyle Gomes (Our Lady of Lourdes), as Champion Girl and Champion Boy respectively.
February 2000
The second annual Sports Day was held on 24 February 2000 at the Guyana Softball Ground. This time, there were sixty-five athletic events for the students to participate in. The final results are as follows with the name of the House and it's ranking:

Once again Analisa Austin proved that she was very talented by emerging as the Champion Girl.
November 2000
The third annual Sports Day was held on 10 November 2000 at the Guyana Softball Cricket Ground. Students participated in sixty athletic events, with the following results:

November 2001
The fourth annual Sports Day was held at the Everest Sports Club ground in November 2001. For a third time Our Lady of Guadeloupe was the Champion House.

The Champion Athletes were Randy Lee (Our Lady of Guadeloupe) and Chantelle Fernandes (Our Lady of Lourdes).
November 2002
The fifth annual Sports Day was held on 1st November 2002 at the Everest Sports Club. The students participated in sixty-three athletic events with the following House results:

The emerging Champion Athletes were Yulanda Armstrong (Our Lady of Fatima), Linden Cave and Alex D'Aguiar (Our Lady of Guadeloupe).
October 2003
The sixth annual Sprots Day was held on October 7th 2003
at the Guyana Softball and Cricket Club, with the following results:

Outstanding Achievers
During the past five years (1998 - 2003), Marian Academy has been fortunate to be graced with several talented young athletes who excelled both locally and internationally.
Track and Field
1. Analisa Austin
Analisa of Our Lady of Guadeloupe House emerged as the National Champion in the under- 11 age category during 1998-1999. She has represented Guyana in championship games internationally, and excelled in all of them. She participated in the Caribbean Union of Teachers Athletic Championship in Trinidad in June 1999. She also participated in the Caribbean Student Athletic meet in Grenada and St Lucia. She was ranked among the top three Caribbean athletes. On the 4th May 2001, Analisa left Guyana to participate in the Track and Field Athletic Championship in Trinidad at the Hasley Crawford Stadium. Her results were as follows:

She also acheived first place at both inter-school and inter-zone levels.
2. Randy Lee
Randy Lee of Our Lady of Guadeloupe House represented Marian Academy at all levels, locally and internationally. In the Inter-School Track and Field Competition in February 2002, he acheived the following results:

At the Inter-Zone Level, his results were:

At the National Meet, he acheived:

Randy broke a new record in the 800 metres race at the Nationals in 2002. The old record was 2 mins 12 secs and his new record was 2 mins 10.9 secs.
Randy Represented Guyana at the Hampton Games held in Trinidad in May 2002. THere, he broke the record in the 400 metres event from an old record of 51.84 secs to a new record of 50.55 secs. His results in Trinidad were:

On 17th March 2002 Randy competed in the 400 metres Men's Race sponsored by Kashif and Shanghai, where he obtained 1st place in the event.
Swimming
Each of the following individuals has represented Marian Academy and Guyana at swimming competitions and they have all excelled. Showing that they have talent and promise to acheive greatness.
1. Alan Lowe
Alan has been competing in aquatic athletics since the age of six. In 1999, he represented Guyana at the Goodwill Swim Meet here in Guyana. For his efforts, he received a silver medal. He continued to represent Guyana at aquatic events in Suriname and Trinidad. In 2002, at the Inter-Zone Athletic Championship, he gained first place in each of the swim events offered. He also emerged as the champion in the under-13 Boys events at the National Level. At the swim meet of the same year in Suriname, he obtained one silver and six bronze medals in the 11 - 12 age categories with an overall place of third.
2. Jamal Sobers
Jamal has represented both Marian Academy at various Aquatic Meets.
In May 2001, Jamal participated in the Tenth Aquatic Meet in Barbados. He obtained the following results:

| 100 m butterfly | 11 - 12 years | 7th Place |
Overall, he gained seventh place out of forty-two participants.
During March 2002, Jamal competed in the 11 - 12 age groups at the Aquatic Meet in Suriname. He obtained four gold and nine silver medals. At the Guyana Amateur Swimming Association Nationals (GASA) in 2002, he gained first place in the 11 - 12 age group category.
3. Yulanda Armstrong
Yulanda is another talented athlete that has represented Marian Academy in the Inter-School and National Swimming competitions. The following results show the talent of this young person:

Yulanda was on the Guyana team that participated in the Goodwill Swim Meet in August 2002. She contributed a Bronze and Silver Medal in the freestule and breast stroke relay events to add to the team's winnings.
